Week 7 of the NFL season brought significant injury concerns for several teams, with key players affected in critical games. The most alarming incident occurred during the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Jets and Steelers, where New York guard Xavier Newman was carted off the field on a backboard due to a neck injury. Fortunately, initial reports confirmed that Newman was conscious and able to move his limbs as he was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital.

In addition to Newman, Cleveland's Deshaun Watson faced a potentially season-ending injury during the Browns' game against the Bengals. After suffering a non-contact injury, Watson was carted off the field, and Coach Kevin Stefanski expressed fears of a torn Achilles. This injury could sideline him for the remainder of the season, adding to the challenges he has faced since joining the Browns.

The San Francisco 49ers may also be dealing with a significant blow, as wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is believed to have suffered a torn ACL during their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned this possibility following a game where several other offensive players, including George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey, have already been impacted by injuries, raising concerns about the team's depth.

Meanwhile, Washington's Jayden Daniels left his team's blowout victory over Carolina early due to a rib injury. Despite his exit, Washington continued to dominate the game. Daniels’ mother reassured fans on social media that he was fine, indicating that the injury may not be serious. As teams assess the impacts of these injuries, the landscape of the league continues to shift dramatically.
