Vans Warped Tour Announces Comeback for 2025: Celebrating 30 Years of Punk Rock Energy

Get ready to lace up your Vans! The Vans Warped Tour is officially returning in 2025, marking a major milestone as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. Founder Kevin Lyman is bringing back the beloved festival, known for its punk rock roots and vibrant community spirit, for two-day events in three select cities.

After wrapping up its “final” tour in 2018, the Warped Tour made a brief return for its 25th anniversary in 2019. Now, Lyman is excited to reignite the festival experience. “I’ve always hoped someone would come along and outdo what we created,” he shared with Rolling Stone. “But until then, I’m thrilled to bring back what fans have missed.”

The 2025 tour kicks off in Washington, D.C., at the RFK Campus on June 14-15, followed by shows at the Shoreline Waterfront in Long Beach, California, on July 26-27, and wrapping up in Orlando, Florida, at Camping World Stadium on November 15-16. Lyman noted that keeping the tour limited to three cities makes it more feasible, although he’s open to expanding in the future based on the tour’s success.

While the full lineup is still under wraps, Lyman promises a diverse mix of returning favorites and new artists. “We’re focusing on quality and unique performances, aiming for 70 to 100 bands at each stop,” he said. Fans can look forward to a blend of nostalgia and fresh talent, with notable past performers including Blink-182, Green Day, and Paramore.

In a refreshing move, the festival aims to maintain an affordable ticket price, with two-day passes starting at $149.98. Presales will begin on October 24 at noon ET. Lyman’s commitment to keeping prices low stands in stark contrast to other festivals, such as the When We Were Young event, where tickets can soar to over $300. The partnership with Insomniac, a leading festival promoter, has been crucial in keeping costs accessible.

“The focus has always been on the fans,” Rotella, the founder of Insomniac, remarked. He noted that many artists are eager to join, showcasing the collaborative spirit that Warped Tour embodies. “It’s about band members reaching out to each other and saying, ‘Let’s make this happen.’

Warped Tour 2025 will emphasize community engagement, featuring nonprofit organizations and immersive activities. Lyman is particularly excited about introducing fresh nonprofits and initiatives like the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, providing a platform for emerging talent.

As always, the festival will recreate its signature atmosphere, complete with inflatable set lists and merchandise tents, ensuring that the magic of the Warped Tour lives on. Lyman encapsulates the festival’s essence: “It’s all about that parking lot vibe—the backyard party that has brought people together for 30 incredible years.”
