Trump Calls for Israeli Strike on Iran's Nuclear Facilities, Criticizes Biden's Response
Former President Trump urged Israel to target Iran’s nuclear facilities during a campaign event in Fayetteville, North Carolina, while mocking President Biden’s comments on the issue. Trump pointed out that Biden had suggested, “As long as they don’t hit the nuclear stuff,” emphasizing that targeting nuclear sites should be the priority.
He described nuclear proliferation as the "biggest risk" and recalled how he rebuilt the military during his presidency, including nuclear capabilities. “His answer should have been 'Hit the nuclear first,'” Trump stated.
In a previous interview with Fox News, Trump labeled Biden's remarks as "the craziest thing I’ve ever heard," warning that Iran could soon possess nuclear weapons.
Kash Patel, former deputy director of national intelligence, also criticized Biden for downplaying the threat, especially after Iran’s recent attack on Israel. Following that attack, Biden had insisted that while Israel has the right to respond, it should do so proportionally and avoid targeting Iran's nuclear program.
