In their season opener, the Golden State Warriors delivered an impressive 139-104 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, led by Stephen Curry's stellar performance. Curry finished the night with 17 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds before resting in the fourth quarter. Buddy Hield made a significant impact off the bench, contributing 22 points and helping the Warriors bounce back after a missed playoff season last year.

Portland started strong, leading by as many as nine points in the first quarter. However, the Warriors quickly turned the game around, outscoring the Blazers and taking a 62-50 lead at halftime. Curry's three-pointer to open the second half ignited a dominant stretch for Golden State, which saw them extend their lead to as much as 37 points.

The Blazers were led by Scoot Henderson, who also scored 22 points off the bench, while Shaedon Sharpe was sidelined due to a shoulder injury. Despite their early lead, Portland struggled to maintain momentum as the Warriors executed their game plan effectively.

A noteworthy moment came late in the first half when Draymond Green received a technical foul for arguing with the officials. Head coach Steve Kerr stepped in, calmly guiding Green off the court. Additionally, Curry’s seven assists in the first quarter moved him past Clyde Drexler into 38th place on the NBA's all-time career assists list. Looking ahead, the Blazers will host the Pelicans on Friday, while the Warriors will visit the Jazz.
