Michigan State faced a Heartbreaking Loss against Boston College, falling 23-19 in a rain-soaked matchup.
The Spartans, now 3-1, struggled with turnovers, committing four, including a critical interception by Aidan Chiles in the end zone with just 36 seconds left.
Michigan State took a 19-16 lead late in the game thanks to a field goal from Jonathan Kim, but Boston College quickly responded. Thomas Castellanos connected with Lewis Bond for a 42-yard touchdown pass, sealing the victory for the Eagles (3-1).
Chiles had a mixed performance, completing 17 of 35 passes for 241 yards, while also rushing for a touchdown. Michigan State’s rushing attack faltered again, with Kay’Ron Lynch-Adams leading with only 61 yards. Despite outgaining Boston College 368-295, the Spartans' inability to hold onto the ball proved costly.
Next, Michigan State faces a tough stretch, with Ohio State coming to town before a trip to Oregon. The Spartans will need to address their turnover issues if they hope to bounce back.
