Rocket Attacks Target Haifa and Galilee: Over 100 Fired from Lebanon

In a dramatic escalation of violence, the Israeli military reported that around 105 rockets were launched at Haifa and the Galilee region within just one hour on Tuesday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the assaults came in two separate waves from Lebanon.

While many rockets were intercepted or landed in uninhabited areas, at least two buildings in Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Motzkin sustained direct hits. Emergency services reported that a 71-year-old woman was hospitalized with a shrapnel injury to her hand, and several others were treated for injuries incurred while seeking safety.

This latest barrage follows an earlier incident in which 25 rockets targeted the Lower Galilee area, as noted by the IDF. Hezbollah subsequently claimed responsibility, stating that it had launched the significant rocket offensive against Haifa and Kiryat.
