The Colombian national team is one of the strongest home teams in the qualifiers for the 2026 North American World Cup. In the four matches played so far at the Metropolitano Stadium, they achieved three wins and one draw. With the unwavering support of their fans in the heat of Barranquilla, the team defeated Venezuela (1-0), Brazil (2-1), and Argentina (2-1).

The only team to take a point from their visit to the Atlantic capital was Uruguay, which managed a 2-2 draw against the Colombians in October 2024. Therefore, Colombia aims to secure another victory in their match against Chile, valid for the tenth round of the World Cup qualifying process.
