Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
Rinse the Rice: Place the rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear.
Boil Water: In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt if desired.
Add Rice: Stir in the rinsed rice, cover the pot, and reduce the heat to low.
Cook: For white rice, simmer for about 18 minutes; for brown rice, about 45 minutes. Do not lift the lid while it cooks.
