Georgia bounced back from its recent loss with a solid 31-13 victory over rival Auburn, continuing its dominance in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. While expectations were high for a commanding performance, Auburn kept the game competitive, particularly with a third-quarter touchdown drive that momentarily raised tension in Sanford Stadium.

The Bulldogs started slowly, only managing an early touchdown and a field goal by Auburn in the first half. A late first-half miscue by Auburn allowed Georgia to capitalize, scoring another touchdown just before halftime for a 14-3 lead.

Auburn showed some life in the second half, with quarterback Payton Thorne leading a quick touchdown drive that brought the score to 14-10. However, Georgia responded decisively with two consecutive touchdown drives to secure the win. Despite the victory, questions lingered about Georgia's edge sealing against the run and quarterback Carson Beck's mobility under pressure.

Auburn fell to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the SEC, but their performance against Georgia was cleaner than earlier games this season. The all-time series now stands at 65-56-8 in favor of Georgia, leaving Auburn with another year to try to close the gap.
