Frank Fritz, Former Star of American Pickers, Passes Away at 60
Frank Fritz, beloved co-star of the popular series American Pickers, has died at the age of 60, his family confirmed. Fritz had been recovering from a stroke he suffered in 2022.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, his family shared the news: “This is a very tough announcement to make. Frank passed away last night around 7:30, surrounded by friends, including Mike Wolfe, who rushed back from Nashville to be by his side. Please understand this is a very rough time for us, and we appreciate your kindness and support.”
Mike Wolfe, Fritz’s long-time friend and co-star, echoed the sentiment on Instagram, saying, “With a broken heart, I share that Frank passed away last night. I feel blessed to have been with him on his final journey. I love you, buddy, and will miss you dearly.”
Earlier this year, rumors of Fritz's death had circulated on social media, which were quickly dismissed by friends. Danielle Colby, another American Pickers co-star, paid tribute, highlighting Fritz's infectious laughter and love for his family and pets.
American Pickers debuted on the History Channel in 2010, showcasing Fritz, Wolfe, and Colby as they traveled the country searching for unique collectibles. In June 2021, it was announced that Fritz would be leaving the show due to various health issues, including back surgery and Crohn's Disease.
Frank's contributions to the show and his vibrant personality will be sorely missed by fans and friends alike. Rest in peace, Frank.
