Buzz Aldrin, the second person to walk on the Moon, endorsed former President Donald Trump on Saturday, emphasizing the need for a “proven, tested, and serious leader” in the White House. In his address, Aldrin underscored the critical qualities required for presidential leadership, including understanding human nature, decisiveness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Aldrin reflected on his own experiences in high-stakes environments, from military combat to lunar exploration. He stressed that effective leadership often involves making urgent decisions that directly affect the lives of Americans. He highlighted the importance of a thoughtful approach to complex situations and the instinct to lead with resolve.

The astronaut pointed to various challenges currently facing the United States, including economic issues, community stability, and concerns about global security. He argued that these pressing matters require a leader who can navigate difficult realities with clarity and purpose.

Aldrin expressed support for the creation of the Space Force under Trump, describing it as increasingly vital as space becomes a contested arena. He praised Trump for reactivating the National Space Council and recognized the contributions of private sector innovators, such as Elon Musk, to advancements in space exploration.

Concluding his endorsement, Aldrin declared that, given the challenges ahead and the accomplishments of Trump's first term, the nation would be best served by reelecting him. He expressed his wholehearted support, stating, “Godspeed President Trump, and God Bless the United States of America.”
