Tesla has unveiled the 2025 Model Y, codenamed "Juniper," introducing significant design and feature enhancements. Currently available in China and select Asia-Pacific markets, the refreshed Model Y is expected to begin deliveries in March.
Key Features of the 2025 Model Y:
Design Updates: The Model Y now features a full-width light bar, enhancing its futuristic aesthetic.
Interior Enhancements: The cabin includes an eight-inch rear touchscreen, improved ambient lighting, and a quieter interior for a more comfortable driving experience.
Performance and Range: The rear-wheel-drive model offers an estimated range of 368 miles, while the long-range version extends up to 446 miles. Both variants have a top speed of 124 mph and support peak charging speeds of 250kW.
Pricing: In China, the Model Y is priced at approximately 263,500 yuan ($35,900).
While the 2025 Model Y is currently available in select markets, Tesla has not announced a release date for the U.S. and Europe. The company aims to enhance its competitive position in the Chinese EV market, where it faces increasing competition from local manufacturers.
